004: Paper

January 4, 2012 § Leave a comment

My name is Kimberly, and I have a problem with paper.
If there were a 12-step program for people who are unable to manage the paper in their lives, I’d be a regular at program meetings. I am powerless to keep excess paper out of house, and to deal with it before it accumulates.

Tonight’s unstuffing project involved a 12″ stack of miscellaneous incoming paper from December: junk mail, Christmas cards, magazines, 401k statements, catalogs, bills, etc. The stack has been reduced to 1″ of papers to be filed, a few pages to be shredded, and the rest added to the recycling.  One stack down, a dozen or two more to go.
